Many of these furnishings are tall enough to use on the floor in an empty corner. Keep in mind if you have dark laminate or hardwood floors you will want something contrasting in color. This is so your pottery doesn't blend in too much with the flooring colors. If you are placing them on ceramic tile you will want to make sure that know one will be able to knock your vase over and break it.
