Installation tip for large wall mirrors

Review the measurements of the mirror before you buy it and then go and see if it will fit where you would like it to be mounted. The depth is also an important dimension to pay attention to. If it has a large wood frame it might stick out too far and then you would be bumping into.

If the mirror is going to be behind a door or mounted on a wall that has a door swinging towards it, replace the coil spring type door stop with a solid decorative one. What could happen is if children come through and happen to swing the door too hard it will bang into the mirror, because the standard door stops bend.

Depending on placement make sure that there isn't a light that will be directly reflected off of the mirror. The subsequent glare would be hard on the eyes.
