Round dining tables - drop leaf, oak and glass tables
Round tables are ideal for 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, townhouses and
kitchens with a dining area. They allow more floor space to be utilized.
Chairs tuck underneath a round table quite well and make a room look
much tidier or more organized.
Drop leaf dining tables are better for two people and you have a small
dining room or kitchen. Ideal for when you have a couple of extra guest for
dinner. They are better tables for when you want more space and need to tuck
them closer to a wall.
Of course you are not limited to a drop leaf or round dining table. Pedestal
tables, butterfly and trestle tables allow you to choose from a variety of
styles and finishes.
Before you buy any table for dining on take into
consideration the height you would like. Take the room size and average
person size into consideration. For the average person a 35 to 36 inch high
table will fit perfectly, these are classified as dining height. For taller
people a counter height or extra table from anywhere between 35 inches to 45
inches would be needed.

Many people like to have a dining chair with arms because of the comfort.
It's nice to have a spot to rest your arms, other than your lap or the
tabletop. Unfortunately they take up more space than those without arms and
not suited for smaller round tables. For large tables that involve fitting
many people at the same table armless dining chairs are generally a few
inches smaller and allow for an additional chair on either side of the
table.
