Taller people need tall dining tables and chairs to be seated comfortably

Consider buying tall barstools to more comfortably

Tall bar stools are between 28 to 30 inches, extra tall stools are between 34 to 36 inches. This is measured from the seat to the floor. In general you want a 10 inch difference between the dining table and stool seat. Here we have a picture of the different styles, wood, metal, swivel, backless and with back rests. Most tall people prefer the counter height or bar height table. These are between 35 and 42 inches tall. This is the size that you mostly see set up for home bars.

Extra tall tables are typically around 45"-48" high. So the tall chairs for bistro tables are usually in the 32-34 inch height. This is a more comfortable size if your are over six feet. Although you can use a 42 inch high table with a 29 inch stool. Alternate dining tables for small kitchens are drop leaf round dining tables.
