Buy floating candles and decorative candle holders to float them in

Floating candles by themselves are rather plain looking, but just look on how you create your own decorative accents. I bought the floating orchids and only burn them for special romantic occasions, mainly because they only burn for a few hours.

I do have them floating in a glass bowl on my dining room table and on my bathroom counter as a decorative home accent. They are very beautiful and add a great deal of color to a room. I also bought the floating leaves to add a bit of seasonal green.

One of the most decorative ideas for floating candles is to use glass cylinders or bowls to display your candles in. These make nice table accents for using in other rooms in your home, my favorite is the floating pillar candles for the middle of the kitchen table. They tend to be more decorative than tapered candles and are not as easy to knock over as a regular candle holder.
