I have used the coffee makers mentioned below for the last couple of years. Approximate use was on average 3 pots a day. (that's right I like coffee)

One of the main incentives for me was the ability to smell the coffee while it is brewing and the machine had to have an auto timer. There is nothing better than waking up in the morning to the smell of fresh coffee. I still like percolated coffee the best because of the aroma it gives off.

The next feature is at the top of the list for people that like to rest in bed until the coffee is brewed. The machine beeps 5 times when it is finished brewing, it is loud enough to here from down the hallway. Another neat feature is it has a self cleaning setting that tells you when it's time to clean the coffee pot to remove any calcification from the water reservoir.
