Choosing between styles of window curtainsIs it a formal curtain or informal look that you want?
If you have different ideas and styles in mind on how you want your curtains to look write it down. Then think a little bit more on what you are trying to accomplish in that style of window treatment. If you don't write it down a couple of days later you may forget part of it and then you probably miss an important step. If its for a dining room then maybe the formal look will be best. Curtains for a formal look are normally lined. Informal looks are not lined because they hang loser and look more relaxed. The other consideration you need to think of is how much light you want to allow into the room. If your decorating idea is to incorporate a formal curtain then lined curtains are the way to go. Remember if one window has a lined curtain, all the windows have to have lined curtains otherwise they will look out of place. The lining will also save the color on the face of the fabric making it last longer. Curtains have always been a popular
window covering to
match with your wall decor and
other furnishings. |
