Decormotif is a site for interior designers,  decorators, and consumers who are looking for home decor ideas, decorating tips, to buy home furnishings and contemporary furniture, for either home or office settings

You will notice third party links going to other online retail stores. Some are our suppliers catalogue pages and others will take you to other sites. These are here because one company cannot be all things to all people when it comes to buying home decor. Besides that some retailers have better online bargains than others so we decided to add them so you could save a bit of money. We did however review all sites on this website and found them to be secure and safe places to shop.

Why did we pick Decor motif as a company name

If has to do with two word definitions: definition of decor motif

definition of decor: A decorative style or scheme, as of a room.

definition of motif: A dominant theme or central idea.

In general when you are decorating, you must decide first what is your overall theme or overall look and feel you want to achieve. Either by the overall theme of your entire home or room by room, if you think of each room as a setting or a landscape and how you want people to interact, you should get a better idea of what you want to find.

When buying home furnishings, styles and colors should flow together as an eye pleasing theme throughout your home. This will hold true whether you are looking for living room furniture, bedroom furniture, lighting artwork or wallpaper and paint.

If you look at the definitions of both words you will see how it all comes together.

Our goal is to present you with home decor, accessories, furnishings and wall decor that will invite your friends to talk about not just the your skill at interior decorating but the items you have chosen to display as art. Our motto is "dare to be different" with your furnishings and make them stand out so people will talk about them.

I also use this site to supplement my monthly income, so I do make money from some of the pages contained here. When I find a supplier that offers interesting home accents, I place there ads in appropriate area and get paid a commission if someone happens buy an item.
