Coffee table centerpieces
Isn't that a beautiful coffee table centerpiece, where did you find it?
Would you like that to be the question of the day when your friends come over for coffee or tea. It can be if you search for an unusual decoration for the center of your coffee table.
The standard decoration or table centerpiece you see displayed in most homes are candles or flower vases. I like to be more artistic and unusual with my home accents. I have a small basket in the center of my coffee table and a handmade glass bowl on my end tables, (these are classified as glass art and hold there value).

People are always commenting on how nice my tables looked and how nice it was to see a coffee table glass centerpiece that is so unusual and interesting. I really got into collecting the art glass and now display it not just on my tables but also on my mantel with other collectibles. Coffee tables are still my first choice on where to place these centerpieces.
What I found to be happening is when we were all sitting around the coffee table, the conversation would end up to be about the centerpiece I had chosen to display. The baskets and handmade vases always were the favorite of my girl friends. Because I started collecting centerpieces, and my coffee table and end tables are a set, I would display different but matching items on each table every month. This got to be quite a thing with my friends and now we meet at my house for coffee once a month, just to see what I have and to show off their latest purchase. We make it into a monthly coffee table centerpiece party for just the girls, it's kind of fun.

Care & Maintenance: Various tabletops: Never use abrasives
Laminate top table
Scrub with Windex, Fantastik, Mr. Clean in well dissolved in water, or with a very soft cloth dampened with alcohol or a synthetic thinner. For a dull finish, rub with jeweler's rouge as a polishing agent and finish with paste wax. Remove stubborn stains with Soft Scrub.
Coated marble top
Wash with lukewarm water. Wash more thoroughly with Windex or Ivory Flakes in warm water, or other non-abrasive cleaner (not full strength). Rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.
Wood veneer top
Clean with a commercial brand of liquid furniture polish twice a month.For stubborn dirt or light scratches rub softly with very fine steel wool before using furniture polish. To rejuvenate luster apply a furniture cream.
Table Base:
Clean the same as coffee table tops. Ink stains and scratches on white table bases use comet or ajax. If the scratch is very deep use acylic lacquer with touch up paint, the same as in the automotive industry. You can shine it with car polish. Do not use steel wool on this table bases.

Plus evry so often manufacturers change up their designs a little and the one you have is not available anymore.
Personally I am a big fan of buying things in sets when I am furnishing a room or redecorating.
